Wild Rice
This archive includes images of harvesting Wild Rice in the Ceded Territories in the early decades of the 20th century. The narrator in this section is Joe Chosa from Lac du Flambeau. In the contemporary story Mr Chosa talks about the importance of reseeding rice beds which have been destroyed or over harvested before the rice is really ripe.
